Study with Apple Pencil
Every session on iPad is the same loop: pick a question, write your answer, circle what you want checked, and send it to Nooc.
Pin a question
Open the Question bank from the top of a notebook and choose a question. It stays pinned above your page, and Nooc sees it every time you send.
Write your answer
The page works like paper, with a few extras.
| To | Do this |
|---|---|
| Write | Apple Pencil, or your finger with Allow finger drawing on. |
| Erase | With Scribble to erase on, scratch back and forth over ink. |
| Straighten | Hold the Pencil still at the end of a line or shape. |
| Paste | Paste an image or copied ink onto the page. |
| Draw a table | Pick Table in the tool picker (iPadOS 18 or later). |
Circle and send
Pick the Nooc lasso in the tool picker, circle the work you want checked, and tap Send to Nooc. Then choose where Nooc should answer. Try it below.
Circle some handwriting on the page to begin.
- Ask Nooc now
- Nooc replies in the chat panel, beside your notebook.
- Ask Nooc on web
- The selection is sent, and the reply appears in your chat on the web.
- Add to web chat
- The selection waits in your web chat, so you can add a question first.
On iPadOS 17, send the whole page with the paper-plane button at the top of the page.
Read Nooc’s comments
When Nooc reviews your work, it pins comments right beside the lines they’re about. Tap a marker to open it, then Reply to keep the conversation going or Resolve when you’ve fixed it. Resolved comments turn into a check mark.
Chat and voice
Open the chat panel to ask about the question or the page in front of you. Use the + menu to choose what Nooc sees: the current page, or the whole notebook. Tap the mic to dictate instead of typing.
Where voice is available for your account, Talk with Nooc starts a spoken session about the pinned question and your page. A small button floats over the page while you talk. Tap it to mute or end the session, and you can interrupt Nooc at any time.
Work side by side
Keep the exam open next to your notebook, so you can read and write without switching back and forth.
- Open the file in a tab
Tap the arrow next to the notebook’s name to show your open documents, then Open file and pick a file from the course.
- Drag one tab onto the other
The file opens on the left and your notebook on the right. Drag the handle between them to resize.
- Send as usual
Nooc sees both pages when you send, so you can ask about the exam question and your answer together.

Good bound. Add one line on why √(4 + 1/n) + 2 ≥ 4. That step is what gives you 1/4n.
