Code workspace
Answer coding questions beside the question itself. Python runs right in your browser, and Nooc can read every run.
from math import sqrt def a(n): return sqrt(4 + 1 / n) terms = int(input("How many terms? "))for n in range(1, terms + 1): print(f"a({n}) = {a(n):.4f}") print("Gap to 2:", round(a(terms) - 2, 4))
Run this tab to start the terminal.
A replay of a real run. Choose Run, then Ask Nooc when it finishes.
Open a Code tab
Open a question, then choose + and Code in the answer workspace. Your code saves with the chat, so it’s there when you come back.
Run your program
Choose Run, or press ⌘ ↩ (Ctrl Enter on Windows). Python runs right in your browser. The first run downloads Python, so it takes a few seconds longer.
Type into the console
When your program calls input(), type into the console and press Enter. End input closes standard input, like Ctrl D. Stop ends the run.
Ask Nooc about a run
When a run finishes, Ask Nooc adds it to your message with a reference to the code. Nooc can read the code, your input, and the output, so you can ask why it failed or what to try next.
Run results help you check your work. They are not a grade.

- Each run gets 30 seconds of running time. Time spent waiting for your input doesn’t count.
- Every run starts fresh, with nothing left over from the last one.
- Very long output is shortened.
- If you lose your connection, the result is kept on your device and syncs when you’re back online.
